Strength and water absorption — what is targeted, what is measured

Compressive strength of at least 35 MPa and water absorption below 5%: these are formulation targets. No standardised test has been carried out to date on the TakaPlast paver. Certification by the Office Congolais de Contrôle (OCC) is targeted at M24; testing starts from M9 and it has not been obtained to date. We write it here because this is what you will have to verify before entering the product in a public contract.

Status of the published characteristics

The plant is under construction. To date, no production has taken place and no laboratory analysis has been carried out on a TakaPlast product. The characteristics shown on this page are design values: they constitute neither a warranty nor a contractual specification.

The enforceable characteristic of a batch is the one recorded on its certificate of analysis, issued per batch from first production onwards. No delivery takes place without the certificate of analysis for the corresponding batch.
